Meet Hannibal Navies
"My 9 year NFL career taught me first-hand how the business of sports operates. I've dedicated my life since then to helping young and pro athletes maximize their opportunities - throughout life."
Hannibal Navies was born July 19, 1977, in Oakland, California. He graduated from Berkeley High School in Berkeley, California, where he was an All-American track and football standout. He earned a full athletic scholarship to play linebacker at the University of Colorado in Boulder. Navies went on to become team captain, two-time defensive MVP, and All-Big 12 honors his junior and senior years.
The Carolina Panthers drafted Navies in the 1999 NFL Draft. He spent four seasons as a starter with the Panthers. During his pro football career, Navies also signed with the Green Bay Packers and the Cincinnati Bengals, where he started 15 games. He concluded his pro-career in 2007 after playing with the San Francisco 49ers for nine years.
Since that time, Hannibal has dedicated his career to helping student-athletes realize their full potential and own their future. He launched the Hannibal Navies Foundation to lay out the process, show youth and parents how to put the systems in place to ensure that they can chart their own course for success, on and off the field. Through his own experience, carefully cultivated offerings, and strong partnerships, he is teaching that every step taken, done purposefully, can lead to more opportunities and open doors.
